FEATURED CONTRIBUTOR

As a new church forming in Salmon Creek, Crossway Church begins weekly worship services on 10/10/10 at 5 pm at Salmon Creek Elementary on NE 129th St. One of CrossWay Church's core values is Serving Our World - which is why it sponsors the Barnyard: Family Fun Zone, and the local school supply drive at the Salmon Creek Farmer's Market.Crossway Church

FEATURED Vendor
Paper Tiger

Creative Outlet has added organic peaches and nectarines (from E. Washington) to its already glorious list of certified organic produce.

And NW Organics is bringing canning tomatoes! If you want to ORDER quantities in advance so that Joyce brings enough for you, let us know by sending an email to info@salmoncreekfarmersmarket.com.

The Paper Tiger Coffee team is excited to be the Featured Vendor this week at the Salmon Creek Farmers Market. Anthony, Allen, and Zachary are bringing their special brewing equipment for a live demonstration of Siphon Coffee - a special brewing method only available from Paper Tiger Coffee. Your local coffee experts will talk about current whole bean coffee offerings, including stories and photos from our travels and discoveries around the globe. Make sure to stop by the Paper Tiger booth this Thursday to try this unique, delicious Siphon Coffee, and grab a bag of fresh beans to share with your friends & family. For a great coffeehouse experience, stop by its location at 703 Grand Blvd. in Vancouver, open 7 days a week. Go to www.papertigercoffee.com or call 360-450-2097 for more information. Thanks from Paper Tiger!

Music this week should be lively and fun with the GTM String Band
(http://www.gtmstringband.com/index.html) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Your
support of the music groups that are donating their time at our market is appreciated.

We count on you to stop by the raffle table near the Information Booth at the east end and check out the week's gift basket. Those raffle tickets mean a lot to us, as they help the market pay its bills. Plus it's fun for those of us who put the gift basket together to root for each and every one of you who buys a ticket. Look for a special gift from our Featured Vendor, Paper Tiger Coffee, in this week's basket. Last week's winner: Deb Jason of Salmon Creek.

At the Barnyard - one of our favorite places - this week's craft is CLAY! Come make a hand print, coaster, ornament or plaque out of fast air
drying clay. Parents of babies / young toddlers can also bring their
precious little ones and make keepsakes of their hand and foot imprints as well. Crossway Church is the Barnyard's creator and sponsor; all of us at the SCFM appreciate all the time and energy that this new church in Salmon Creek puts in every week to keep kids and their families creatively involved and happy.

Chef Britt is back!! And a fresh tomato salad is on the menu for the Cooking Demonstration tomorrow. Britt Pedlar is the Chef at Highgate Senior Living and offers his time every week to teach us something new to do with the food we buy at the farmers' market.

More about the Vendors at Thursday's Salmon Creek Farmers' Market can be found above. Click on Vendors, then SCFM Vendors.
