Our Farm Vendors raise produce, including flowers or nursery crops, or animals for food items, locally within the State of Washington or an adjoining county in Oregon or Idaho. The exceptions to locally-produced farm products are cases in which a food item raised in a farm environment is not available within the local geography.
Visit the market’s SW Washington farms: NW Organic Farm from Ridgefield, Backyard Bounty Co-op, Munoz Farms, Belle Jolie Blueberries, Shirt Tail Canyon from Woodland, Coyote Ridge Ranch from La Center, Hawkeye Acres, Oikonomia Gardens, Jackie’s Heirloom Garden, CGI Orchards (in season). We like to have visits from any number of small farms in SW Washington, but may not see them every week. Ayala Farms from the Yakima Valley is the only farm that the Salmon Creek Farmers’ Market allows from outside the SW Washington area; Ayala Farms bring a variety of fresh produce and fruit from East Washington.
Our flower vendors are Mary Cha Farms from Damascus, OR, on Thursdays; and Herr Family Farms on Tuesdays. Chow Herr’s family raises flowers in Damascus, as well as Woodland, WA.
Although NW Organic Farm and CGI Orchards are two farms that are certified organic by the USDA, most of the SW Washington farms use strict sustainable methods in producing their products.
The following farms are authorized to receive FMNP WIC & Senior checks throughout the season at the two Salmon Creek Farmers’ Markets: Ayala Farms, Backyard Bounty , CGI Orchards, Jacki’s Heirloom Garden, Munoz Farms, NW Organic Farms, Coyote Ridge Ranch, and Hawkeye Acres.
